There is a lot of information -mainly text- about Wilhelm Canaris (1887-1945) on the Internet. Some of excellent, some of poor quality and often limited to a certain event. However, this information is often fragmented, inaccurate, manipulated and often with a lot of (copied) errors in date and place. Furthermore, it seems that photographs of Canaris are rare, probably due to the secretive nature of his job. Therefore I took the initiative to create a photo chronology of his life with images not only from the web but also from books and other publications. It would be great if you could provide me with photographs not already in this collection. Please use the 'Leave a Message' button on the right to get in touch. Together we are able to build a virtual photo album about 'the little admiral' who was such an enigmatic person in a very dark period of Europe's history.
