Canaris was arrested on 23 July 1944 and brought to the 'Grenzpolizeischule' (Police School) in Fürstenberg. From there he was transported to the 'Hausgefängenis' (House Jail) of the RSHA (SS) in Berlin.
On the 7th of February 1945, Canaris was sent to Flossenbürg concentration camp.
